TechTrain afterschool computer workshops, created in partnership with the Small Schools Workshop, enable inner city students to build their own computers by recycling. They also learn to use the Internet to help with their homework, use e-mail and explore the universe. Some students become very skilled with sound and graphic projects as well. Their grades improve and some go on to tech careers.
